How to operate 80 ton gantry crane safely?
1. The driver only follows one command during work, the driver and operator should have obvious hand signal or sound signal. Before the driver starts work, he should listen to the sound signal, if risks or dangers happen, stop immediately.
2. The first lift should be tested, lift the material away from the floor about 2cm, carry the brake test to ensure good lift, then continue to lift. During process of moving, lift the material away from the floor about 0.5m.
3. All actions should be slow, such as up, down, start, and stop, never suddenly turning the direction during work. When the crane and trolley approach the end, slow down the speed, not adopt the limiter as stop measure.
4. If the power is out of use, voltage falls seriously, the equipment has failures, the supporting legs deviate not at the same time, turn all control device to “0” place, push the power switch. If the material is in suspended places, adopt measures to unload the material slowly.
5. Not sliding material, two gantry cranes travelling on the same rail should keep distance at least 3m, check the wire rope regularly, lubricate it once in fifteen days, first clean the wire rope, the heat the oil to 60℃, to make oil infiltration strand gap.
6. After work, up the lifting hook, put the trolley at the side of operation room, and put the crane at the pointed place, lock the rail with clip wheel clamp. Check and clean the equipment, do daily maintenance work, put the operation handle on the “0” place, turn off the power switch, and close the operation room.
