Different types of buffers on 75 ton gantry crane
When travelling mechanism position-limiter or brake device goes wrong, because of inertia, the crane or trolley approaching the end will strike with the stopper in the end. Setting buffer can absorb the travelling impact of the crane or trolley and slow down the impact. The buffer is installed on the place where the crane or trolley strikes with stopper. Between two cranes travelling on the same rail or between two trolleys travelling on the same gantry crane, there should be set buffers.
First is solid buffer. It includes the rubber buffer and polyurethane buffer. The rubber buffer has simple structure and can absorb a little energy. It is used for crane with speed less than 50/min. Its main function is stopping. Polyurethane foamed plastic buffer can absorb large energy. It has many advantages, such as good cushioning performance, oil resistance, ageing resistance, acid resistance, corrosion resistance, high temperature and low temperature resistance, insulation and explosion-proof, small and light relative density, simple structure, low price, no noise, no spark, easy installation and maintenance, long service life, etc. Thus it has wide application.
