Brake device is related to the crane’s safety and service life, thus it is essential to choose a suitable brake for lifting crane.
General standard brake device has electric hydraulic block brake, electromagnetic block brake, disc brake, the band brake. It is wise to consider the type, specifications, using place when choosing a brake device, some check and test are also necessary.
Choosing brake type is mainly according to crane’s standards and practical needs. For example, the standards have following requirements, lifting mechanism and luffing mechanism must be equipped with close-type brake, travelling mechanism or rotating mechanism can choose close-type brake.
